Internationally renowned British artist, Daniel Tidbury, lives and works in Emsworth, a small coastal village nestled between the historic cities of Chichester and Portsmouth. Emsworth is uniquely situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty with Chichester harbour and the South Downs National Park providing endless inspiration.

A prolific creative force encompassing many disciplines, Tidbury began producing striking, spontaneous, dramatic abstract images on canvas, his works often featuring broad expressive impasto marks in acrylic. Constantly developing techniques and styles, often working large scale, Tidbury allows his instinct to control the direction of his work with no underlying narrative, what emerges is the result of play and experimentation, a truly creative process. His works now adorning the wall of homes and commercial spaces around the world.

Almost entirely self taught, Tidbury’s ceramic work includes functional domestic pottery and decorative forms in porcelain and stoneware in a range of attractive glaze effects. Every piece is unique and handmade, glazed and fired in Tidbury’s home studio.

Commissions welcome.

“I take inspiration from all aspects of my life and experiences, often retreating to my studio as a form of therapy. My work emerges as a result of play, a truly creative process with no predetermined outcome.”
